BJ shared some of his wit and wisdom at the June luncheon of the Little Rock Media Fellowship. More than 40 radio, TV and for the first time print journalists turned out to celebrate BJ's career. It was one of the largest crowds the LRMF has ever had! But after several minutes of humorous anecdotes BJ's talk turned deadly serious ashe shared with the group the tragic story of his son's death and how through the grace of God alone he was able to deal with the aftermath. Fifty six years is a long time to spend in any profession. In broadcasting it's almost unheard of yet at the end of July Little Rock's BJ Sams will retire after spending more than half a century on the air.
