Anne Pressly

On behalf of the Little Rock Media Fellowship I would like to pass along our condolences to the family and friends of Anne Pressly.  I loved Anne and was so very proud to call her my friend.  She loved the Lord and was at nearly every LRMF luncheon.  I am so deeply saddened by her passing as I’m sure you are as well.

And while Anne’s attack and death has greatly affected many of us the impact has probably been the greatest on the dozens of female anchors and reporters in the market.  So often the media is forgotten in the face of tragedy.  We report the news and make sure others are taken care of then we are left with the burden of dealing with what we’ve seen and heard.

This is why we will are now arranging two special meetings of the LRMF at an undisclosed location in early November.  These will be women’s only sessions featuring Gray LeMaster.  Gray is the director of Napa Valley Counseling Services.  He is a former LRPD detective with 21 years of experience in both the homicide and sex crimes divisions.  He, along with several other counselors and clergy, will help to facilitate a discussion on the psychological, emotional and spiritual reactions to the events surrounding Anne’s horrific ordeal and its aftermath.

Again this will be for women only.  It will be a quiet, private affair and an excellent time to get together with others in the market to talk about the events of the past two weeks.

Please keep the members of the media in your prayers. This is a difficult group to reach but just as Anne was so out loud with her faith while she was living her impact may be even stronger now that she's gone on to be with the Lord.
